The Burstafell folk museum which exhibits an old turf farm is only 25 km from Vopnafjörður.

Vopnaskak

The town festival “ Vopnaskak” takes place every year in the beginning of July with a wide range of activities for the whole family. Exhibitions showcasing handcraft and design, barbeque, cake buffet, dance, live music and much more.
