Gluggafoss is in South Iceland, the waterfall of Merkjá River and drops 45 meters. Glugga means window, The upper half of the cliff of Gluggafoss is soft but the bottom is basalt. The river has formed tunnels and grooves through the soft rock and a series of window like structures in the tunnels, thereby earning the name Gluggafoss.
