Highlights from the Place

A geothermal area in the Central Highlands of Iceland, located between the Langjökull and Hofsjökull glaciers. It is on the highland route Kjalvegur, which connects the North to the South. Hveravellir has been called the most beautiful geothermal area in Iceland, with many boiling hot springs and bubbling waterholes. Beside the camping site, is a wonderful pool in a warm stream where one can bathe. The water temperature varies from 20-39,3 degrees C.
