Eldborg Crater

Located in Mýrar, West Iceland, close to the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. Eldborg is a crater, rising about 100 m above sea level, and 60 m above the surrounding lava. It is 200 m in diameter and 50 m deep. The best way to get to Eldborg is to park at the farm Snorrastaðir and then hike 2.5 km through the shrub-covered lava field. It is possible to walk to the top of Eldborg as well around it.

Dverghamrar, or Dwarf Cliffs, are located in South East Iceland about 10 km east of the village Kirkjubæjarklaustur. Hexagonal basalt columns form a small horseshoe-shaped
