Highlights from the Place

Djjúpavík (GPS 65°56’37.84″N 21°33’24.44″W), is located in the Strandir coast in northern Westfjords. The population in the area Árneshreppur is about 50 people, with even fewer living Djúpavík. The distance from Reykjavík is 300 km ( 186 miles ), partly on gravel road closest to Djúpavík.

Annual festival


The festival Djúpavíkurdagar takes place in the middle of August every year. There is live music, a fish buffet and boat sightseeing.
