Deildartunguhver Hot Spring

Deildartunguhver is a hot spring in Reykholtsdalur in West Iceland. It is the fastest flowing hot spring in Europe, providing 180 L/sec of boiling water and therefore the most powerful hot spring in Europe. Some of the water is used for heating houses in the towns of Akranes and Borgarnes. Visitors can observe the hot spring up close where bubbling water emerges at the surface. Nearby are greenhouses growing vegetables heated by the water from the hot spring, as well as the spa, Krauma.
