Brúin Footbrige
Brúin (The Bridge) is located on the Reykjanes peninsula. It is a man-made footbridge over a 15m fissure, spanning a gaping rift between the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates. The bridge was built as a symbol of the connection between Europe and North America, named after the man that discovered North America over 1000 years ago, Leif the lucky. Visitors can cross the bridge and get a certificate at Reykjanes information center and Reykjanes Geopark visitor center at Duus Museum’s Harbour House in Reykjanesbær.
